PRESENTATION HANNIBAL DAY 2025

2025-05-192025-05-26 MayyaNews

The activity that we present on the occasion of Europe Day 2025 joins the Eramus + Building
Europe on the Step Hannibal (BESH) project with the educational programme ‘Hannibal in Europe’
of the Department of Education of the City Council of Cartagena through the activity ‘HANNIBAL
DAY 2025’ where, through the figure of Hannibal, the participating schools perform various
activities around the educational values that the EU develops through the Erasmus + programme.
The event was chaired by Cristina Mora, Councillor for Educational Programmes of the
Government Team, and was attended by historical figures of our Festivities (Chief of Staff of
Hannibal and the Court of Himilce and the Roman general Gaius Lelius), the project coordination
team, teachers from the participating schools and teachers and students from Miralmonte and
Salesianos schools, ambassadors of the European Parliament.
During the 15th and 16th of May, 2 Italian schools, 2 French schools, 1 school from our
neighbouring municipality of La Unión and 15 schools from Cartagena will focus their teaching
activity on drawing attention to the common historical heritage of these three countries and the
importance of young generations appreciating the goodness of the European values that unite us.
The poster that is the image of this activity shows the logos of the participating schools and a QR
associated with each one that leads to a link where the specific activities that the participating
school will carry out are shown.
During the presentation, a video was shown showing the posters of all the participating schools with
the musical background of a song composed specifically for the occasion by Inmaculada Garcia,
teacher at CEIP Vicente Ros, with lyrics dedicated to General Hannibal Barca.
