Alphonse Tavan Middle School, an ambassador school for the Erasmus+ BESH project since 2024, once again organized a study afternoon on 27th May on the theme of Hannibal Barca for the 7th grade students.
Their Spanish and Latin teachers invited the Hannibal Barca Association to lead this program, which included: a brief presentation of the BESH project and the Carthaginian and Roman Festival; an introduction to the character of Hannibal through a video; a discussion on the Second Punic War through reading the 13 episodes of the manga “Ad Astra”; and finally, a poster-making workshop to promote the project within the school.
The students were curious and captivated by the epic story of the famous General, and many questions were asked. They loved the song “Suros,” created by one of the BESH project partners for the “Hannibal is Europe 2025” Days. The Avignon school is ready to continue and extend the Erasmus+ adventure next year in Hannibal’s footsteps.
