The Alphonse Tavan school in Avignon opened its doors to the AHB association on June 21 to confirm its involvement as ambassador of the Erasmus+ BESH project. This visit was an opportunity to present the school with the plaque of the Hannibal Road ambassador network. The students of the 5th grade class in Spanish and Latin initiations who already had access to online comics, were able to discover the project and the character of Hannibal through video sequences of the Festival of the Romans and Carthaginians in Cartagena and the reading the manga “Ad Astra – Scipio Africanus and Hannibal Barca” loaned by the AHB to the college. Their curiosity and interest in the subject convinced their Spanish teacher to exploit this theme at the next school year to discover Mediterranean cultures with her 6th grade students and to try to attract other teachers as well.
